Safetycam Pro Auxiliary Camera(s)
Installation Checklist:
For the proper installation of the Auxiliary camera, refer to the checklist below to ensure all necessary steps are completed correctly:
✅ Connect and test the Auxiliary Camera.
✅ Adjust the viewing angles using the Live Streaming feature on the Azuga Fleet Web platform.
✅ Securely mount the Auxiliary Camera in place.
Installation Steps:
The SafetyCam Pro supports the installation of up to four wired exterior Auxiliary Cameras, providing comprehensive coverage around your vehicle.
The Auxiliary Camera and its components are listed below:
- Infrared sensors
- Camera lens
- Locking screw (x5)
- Protective cover
- Mounting base
These cameras connect seamlessly through the Splitter cable (also known as “OBD-II Aux Connector”), which acts as a central hub for power and data transmission.
Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and secure installation:
Prerequisites:
- Ensure the vehicle is turned off and located in an area with good network connectivity.
- Locate the vehicle’s diagnostic port, typically found below the steering wheel.
Step 1: Connect and test the Auxiliary Camera:
- Connect the Splitter cable:
- Attach the camera port of the Splitter cable to the SafetyCam Pro.
- The Splitter cable supports up to four auxiliary cameras using the following channels: TVI-1, TVI-2, TVI-3, and TVI-4.
- Assign each auxiliary camera to a dedicated channel on the Splitter cable, starting with TVI-1 and proceeding sequentially to TVI-2, TVI-3, and TVI-4. This sequence ensures proper channel configuration and optimal system performance.
Set up the Auxiliary Cameras:
- Side Auxiliary Cameras:
- Use a 5-meter extension cable for each Side Auxiliary Camera.
- Connect one end of the extension cable to the Side Auxiliary Camera.
- Plug the other end into one of the available TVI channels on the Splitter cable.
- Side Auxiliary Cameras:
- Rear Auxiliary Cameras:
- Use a 10-meter extension cable for each Rear Auxiliary Camera.
- Connect one end of the extension cable to the Rear Auxiliary Camera.
- Plug the other end into one of the available TVI channels on the Splitter cable.
- Connect the Y-Cable:
- Attach the remaining end of the Splitter cable to one of the male connectors on the Y-cable.
- Connect the OBD-II device to the other male connector on the Y-cable.
- Connect the female end of the Y-cable to the vehicle’s diagnostic port to complete the process.
Complete the remaining connection:
- Finalize the connection between the SafetyCam and the OBD-II port by referring to the instructions in the Installation Guide for SafetyCam Plus & SafetyCam Pro document to complete the system setup.
- Verify Connections:
- Ensure all connections are secure.
- Confirm that all extension cables are securely connected to the Auxiliary Cameras and the Splitter cable.
- Verify that the SafetyCam Pro and all Auxiliary Cameras are receiving power through the vehicle’s OBD-II power supply via the Y-cable.
Step 2: Adjust the Auxiliary Camera viewing angles:
The Auxiliary Camera's viewing angles can be adjusted using the Live Streaming feature available on the Azuga Fleet Web platform.

Step 3: Securely mount the Auxiliary Camera in place:
Once the Auxiliary Cameras are connected to the SafetyCam Pro, follow these steps to mount them securely:
- Choose the Mounting Location:
- Select an appropriate spot on the vehicle's side or rear, ensuring it provides an optimal view for tracking and monitoring.
- Attach the Mounting Brackets:
For Dome Auxiliary Camera: Use the supplied brackets to securely mount the camera onto the vehicle’s side structure.
- For Square Auxiliary Camera: Use the supplied brackets to securely mount the camera onto the vehicle’s rear structure.
- Ensure Secure Attachment:
- Align the brackets properly and fasten them tightly to prevent movement during operation.
- Verify Stability:
- Check that the Auxiliary Camera is firmly attached and does not wobble. Test its stability by lightly shaking the mounted structure.
Safetycam Plus Auxiliary Camera

Installation Steps:
The SafetyCam Plus supports the installation of a single wired interior rear Auxiliary Camera, offering comprehensive coverage around your vehicle.
Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and secure installation:
Prerequisites:
- Ensure the vehicle is turned off and located in an area with good network connectivity.
- Locate the vehicle’s diagnostic port, typically found below the steering wheel.
Step 1: Connect and test the Auxiliary Camera:
- Connect the Auxiliary Camera.
- Use the 8-meter-long cable that comes with the Auxiliary Camera to connect it directly to the SafetyCam Plus.
- Ensure the connection between the Auxiliary Camera and SafetyCam Pro is secure.
- Complete the remaining connection:
- Finalize the connection between the SafetyCam and the OBD-II port by referring to the instructions in the Installation Guide for SafetyCam Plus & SafetyCam Pro document to complete the system setup.
- Verify Connections:
- Ensure all connections are secure.
- Confirm that both the Auxiliary Camera and SafetyCam Plus are powered through the vehicle’s OBD-II power supply via the Y-cable for proper operation.
Step 2: Adjust the Auxiliary Camera viewing angles:
The Auxiliary Camera's viewing angles can be adjusted using the Live Streaming feature available on the Azuga Fleet Web platform.

Step 3: Securely mount the Auxiliary Camera in place:
Once the Auxiliary Cameras are connected to the SafetyCam Plus, follow these steps to mount them securely:
- Peel off the adhesive backing from the Auxiliary Camera and position it on the rear windshield at the desired location.
- Press the Auxiliary Camera firmly to ensure a secure bond and verify its alignment for optimal viewing.
- Allow the adhesive to set for a few minutes to ensure the camera stays firmly in place.
