Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and secure installation:

Prerequisites for Installation:

Step 2: Connect and Test the Rear Auxiliary Camera:

A. Connect the Rear Auxiliary Camera to SafetyCam Plus:

  1. Connect the rear Auxiliary Camera using the pre-fitted 26-foot (8-meter) cable included with the unit to establish a direct connection to the SafetyCam Plus.

IMPORTANT: Only one Auxiliary Camera can be connected to the SafetyCam Plus at a time. It can be either interior or exterior. In both cases, the cables are of fixed length and cannot be extended.

  1. Route the cable properly for safe and secure installation. For an interior rear Auxiliary Camera, ensure the cable runs inside the vehicle.
  2. This step is crucial for enabling the rear Auxiliary Camera’s functionality.

B. Ensure Secure Connections between Rear Auxiliary Camera and SafetyCam Plus:

  1. Verify that the connection between the rear Auxiliary Camera and SafetyCam Plus is firm and stable.
  2. A secure connection is essential for the system's reliability and performance.

C. Connect the SafetyCam Plus to the Y–Cable:

  1. Plug the male end of the Y-cable into the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
  2. Connect the OBD-II device to one of the female ends on the Y-cable.

  3. Attach the connector end of the SafetyCam’s power cable to the other available female end on the Y-cable.

  4. Connect the remaining end of the power cable to the SafetyCam to complete the setup.

D. Power and Test:

  1. Refer to the SafetyCam Plus & Pro for OBD-II - Installation Guide for instructions on powering the SafetyCam Plus, testing it, and checking the LED indicators to ensure proper setup and operation.

Once the camera powers on successfully:

  1. Run the power cable neatly along the vehicle’s headliner.
  2. Route the cable down the A-pillar toward the OBD-II port.
  3. Power your SafetyCam using the OBD-II port.

Note: Do not mount the rear Auxiliary Camera until Step 4.

Step 3: Adjust the Rear Auxiliary Camera Viewing Angles:

  1. Ensure SafetyCam Association for Live Streaming:
