SafetyCam - Vehicle Association

Overview of SafetyCam - Vehicle Association:

Why Association Matters:

The SafetyCam - Vehicle Association process is essential for integrating vehicle cameras into the Azuga platforms.

It is the first step in enabling access to SafetyCam data and using various system features. Without proper association, core functionalities, such as live streaming and monitoring cannot be activated.

Access to Data on Azuga Platforms:

Only the SafetyCam devices that have been successfully associated will have their data available on both Azuga Fleet Mobile (AFM) app and Web Platform.

This data access is essential for leveraging the full capabilities of the platform.

Necessity for Live Streaming Feature:

Proper association of SafetyCam is not just about data access; it is also essential for enabling live streaming capabilities.

Without associating the SafetyCam, features such as live monitoring and real-time data streaming cannot be utilized.

Ways to Associate a SafetyCam with a Vehicle

There are two ways to associate a SafetyCam with a Vehicle:

  1. Via the Azuga Fleet Mobile App (recommended)
  2. Via the Azuga Fleet Web platform

Tip: Prior to association, ensure that you have recorded the Vehicle ID and the serial number of the SafetyCam installed in the vehicle.

  • For SafetyCam Plus and Pro, the serial number is labeled as MDT S/N and can be found either on the SafetyCam mounting area or on the packaging box.
  • For the AI SafetyCam, the serial number is labeled as IMEI S/N and can be found on the sticker on the camera itself or on the back of the packaging box.

Having this information ready will streamline the association process on the Azuga platforms.

  • SafetyCam Plus MDT S/N starts with J.
  • SafetyCam Pro MDT S/N starts with L.
  • AI SafetyCam IMEI S/N starts with 3.

Below is an example of a SafetyCam’s MDT serial number:
