How to request SafetyCam video via Azuga Web Application?

Prerequisite: 

  • The Request Video setting has to be enabled for your account to avail of this service. To enable the setting, you can reach out to customercare@azuga.com.
  • Videos can be retrieved only when the vehicle is turned on.

Procedure:

1. Under the SafetyCam tab, click the Request video button on the top right corner.


2. Enter the following details of the video you would like to request in the Which vehicle you want to monitor today? dialog box.

Fields                     Description
Vehicle Selected The vehicle whose event video you would like to apply the request for.      
Select Date The date and month of the event occurrence 
Select Time  The time duration of the event whose video you would like to view.Note: The maximum duration of the requested video is 5 minutes.
Video Type

There are three camera point-of-view(POV) angles to choose from to monitor the event accurately. They are:

  • Driver Facing
  • Road Facing
  • Both
Request Name The unique name to identify the requested is being placed under.


Step 3: A pop-up window appears where you can select the vehicle for which you are trying to retrieve the video. 



Step 4: Once you select the vehicle you will be directed to another window where you are asked to select the date and time of the video you are looking for, along with the time duration.


It's always recommended to keep the time duration under 5 minutes for a quick video upload and a 2 minute video will be the fastest to upload. 


Note: Avoid requesting videos that have a duration of 10 as this may take too long to get uploaded into the UI.





Step 5: Click on “Confirm Request” and you can also rename the video according to your preference. Please refer to the highlighted part of the screenshot below to understand how you could rename the video.



Once these steps are completed, you will receive a message stating that the request was sent and will be uploaded on the requested video section.



Consider the following guidelines before submitting a video request.

Note: 

1. We can retrieve videos for the requested duration only if the videos are available on the SD card. 

2. Requesting videos via the cloud for a period of 1 year, i.e. Azuga Web Application is free of cost. Older videos might be available on-demand paid basis for a period of up to 5 years.

  1. To request a video the vehicle’s ignition should have been on at the time of the incident/event or for the required time period

    4. To verify the status of the camera you can check the connect and disconnect events on the Breadcrumb before and after the time period for the requested video
