What is a Posted Speed report? How do I generate this report?

Posted speed limit is the maximum speed legally permitted on a certain stretch of road. A Posted Speed report provides you with information about those vehicles that have violated this posted speed limit. Using this report, you can also determine the location and maximum speed attained by the vehicle when speeding took place. This report is available only if you activate the SpeedSafe package.

To generate a Posted Speed report:

1. Log in to the Azuga Web application.

2. Navigate to the Posted Speed page, under the Reports tab.

3. Using the date picker, select a time frame. (Date range should be 93 days or less.)
4. Select the groups/vehicles you want to include in the report.

5. Select tags from the Vehicle Tags and Driver Tags drop-down. This field will be available only if you activate the Tags package.
6. Select a speed filter by clicking on the corresponding radio button.
  • Posted Speed Limit -  If selected, the report will contain only those vehicles that violated the posted speed limit, even by 1 MPH/KMPH.

    PSL By

    - If selected, the report will contain only those vehicles that traveled at a speed greater than a specified threshold.

    • Specify a value in MPH/KMPH or percentage in this text box. This value plus the

posted speed limit of the road acts as the threshold value.

    • For example, if the posted speed of a road is 70 MPH and PSL By value is set at 10 MPH, then only those vehicles that traveled above 80 MPH (70 MPH +10 MPH) will be displayed in this report.
7. Select a duration filter by clicking on the corresponding radio button.
  • Instant - If selected, the report will contain only those vehicles that traveled at a speed greater than the posted speed limit, even for a second.
  • Show violations that exceed by -  If selected, the report will contain only those vehicles that violated posted speed limit and kept moving at this speed for more than the specified duration.
    • Specify a duration in the text box, in minutes.
    • For example, if you set the duration at 10 minutes and the posted speed of a road is 70 MPH, then only those vehicles that traveled above 70 MPH for more than 10 minutes will be displayed in the report.

9. Click Generate Report
