October Updates

Improvements

Following improvements have been made on Fleet 2.0:

  • The column ‘Odometer’ has been added to the Asset page and exported asset reports under the Admin tab.
  • Enhanced Breadcrumb and Live map search performance in Fleet 2.0, resulting in prompt responses to the keywords entered.
  • An enhancement has been made to the Summary Report that displays the names of all associated drivers' with a vehicle for a specified period of time.
  • The ‘Show entries’ drop-down now has the option 'All' across all the modules such as Admin, Reports, Live Maps, Maintenance, etc., which allows you to view all entries at once.
  • Each tab in the Geofences Report will show the most recent occurrence at the top, allowing the user to keep track of the most recent action.
  • The Safetycam Event Type filter option has become much easier to use.
  • IMEI column has been added to the Vehicles and Assets page.
  • The keyboard actions feature has been enabled to enhance the user experience.
  • Fixed an issue pertaining to the 'Installer Role' of the Installer user type, which was previously able to be edited, but now has been locked by the system and so cannot be altered anymore.

Fixes

Following are the list of bugs that have been fixed:

  • When adding a new configuration in the Config page under the Admin tab, validation was set for the Configuration name field, allowing special characters to be included. This has now been resolved by prohibiting the use of special characters in configuration names.
  • The Average Speed value of the vehicle previously appeared as decimals in the exported reports; this has now been converted to a non-decimal value. Furthermore, the speed metrics have been kept consistent across the UI and the report.
  • Previously, there was no confirmation pop-up displayed after scheduling a report from the Report tab. This bug has now been resolved, and a confirmation pop up appears whenever a report is scheduled.
  • Group tree was previously not displayed in the update geofence window when editing the geofence from the Admin tab. A fix for this bug has been implemented by making the group tree visible while editing the geofence.
  • Clicking the breadcrumb points on the map previously failed to highlight the event card on the left side of the breadcrumb. This bug has now been fixed by highlighting the events card whenever one clicks on the breadcrumb points on the map.
  • The Video option does not appear in the Show/Hide Columns drop-down menu of the Collision Detection Report, despite the package 'Event Videos' being enabled. This bug has now been fixed by making the Video option available in the drop-down menu.
  • Previously, the scroll bar was not visible within the Deactivate Driver & Add Driver widget on the Drivers page under the Admin module. This bug has been fixed by making the scroll bar visible by default.
  • Due to space constraints, users were unable to understand the three fields below the Service Center Duration on the Add Service Entry window, which refer to dd:hh:mm. It has been resolved by rephrasing the Service Center Duration information to make it clear that it relates to dd:hh:mm.

Improvements

The column ‘Odometer’ has been added to the Asset page and exported asset reports.

The odometer reading for the relevant Asset Tracker is now displayed in the Asset Tracker Table under the Admin tab. Users can edit the asset to fill in the odometer reading. The Odometer's default value is set to zero; if the user modifies the value, it starts off at updated value and increments from there.

Users can find this odometer column in the Asset table under Admin tab and Exported Asset report.

Enhanced Breadcrumb and Live map search performance in Fleet 2.0, resulting in prompt response to the keywords entered

Previously, there was a challenge with entering the keyword into the search bar in Breadcrumb and Live map; once entered, there was a delay in search results. This search experience has been improved, making it easier to enter keywords and producing instant results.

An enhancement made to reports under the Summary Report that displays the names of all associated drivers' with a vehicle for a specified period of time

Previously, Latest driver paired with vehicle would appear in the Driver column of the Summary report if multiple drivers were associated with a vehicle for the duration of the report that was selected. This has been improved to display the names of all associated drivers with a vehicle for the selected reporting period.

The ‘Show entries’ drop-down now has the option 'All' across all the modules such as Admin, Reports, Live Maps, Maintenance, etc., which allows you to view all entries at once

The ‘Show entries’ feature was previously limited to 100 entries, which may have served the customer's needs to some extent. Now, the limit has been raised to 'All' across all modules, enabling you to view all entries at once by opening the displayed entries page in one go.

This feature is available across the entire system, including Admin, Reports, Live Maps, Maintenance, and all other modules as well.

Important: If there are more than 4000 entries in the database, the page may become unresponsive when trying to load all entries and display them all at once. We’re working on supporting a high volume of data as well.

Each tab in the Geofences Report will show the most recent occurrence at the top, allowing the user to keep track of the most recent action

Previously, Geofences Reports displayed the most recent event at the bottom and the oldest event at the top, which required users to scroll down in order to view the most recent event.

A feature enhancement has been made to each tab of the report, resulting in the most recent events being displayed at the top. This will improve the overall user experience by providing an overview of the latest activities at the top rather than having to scroll down the report.

The Safetycam Event Type filter option has become much easier to use

With the new filter selection option for Safetycam Event Types, managing the filter selection has been greatly simplified. To enhance the user experience, admins can now unselect all of the event types with a single click instead of unselecting all of them individually from a very long list to filter the list to view only one event.

IMEI column has been added to the Vehicles and Assets page

IMEI column has been added to the Vehicles and Assets page. The IMEI number is neither editable nor visible when adding a form since it is relevant to the device, and not the vehicle.

Normally, this field is hidden by default but can be enabled using a custom column and displayed next to the Device Serial Number. Vehicles or Assets that do not have a device assigned to them will have the IMEI displayed as a dash (-).

Note: This feature improvement has now been implemented on both Classic Fleet and Fleet 2.0.

The keyboard actions feature has been enabled to enhance the user experience

Users can now perform keyboard actions in order to enhance their experience. A few examples of the scenarios are provided below:

  1. Keyboard action on the Login page: When you press the Enter key on the keyboard during the login process, it should act as if you are clicking the Continue button.
  2. Keyboard action while performing Admin functions: When you are editing or adding a new form, pressing the Esc key on the keyboard is equivalent to clicking the cross (X) button on the pop-up window. It is applicable to all admin functions, such as Geofences, Devices, Alerts, Webhooks, Drivers, Groups, Config >> Devices, Roles, Users, Tags, etc.

Fixed an issue pertaining to the 'Installer Role' of the Installer user type, which was previously able to be edited, but now has been locked by the system and so cannot be altered anymore

Whenever the user type is selected as 'Installer', they will be assigned by default the 'Installer Role'. It was previously possible to change the assigned role, but now it cannot be changed and has been locked.
