How is the Azuga Driver Score calculated?

Azuga Driver Score is calculated based on the following parameters:

  • Magnitude of events: Example, a hard brake is a change in speed of 8-12 MPH in ONE second.
  • Duration: Example, the number of seconds of driving above the speed limit threshold.
  • Spatio-temporal index which helps give a perspective on when the event occurred and how well the driver behaved when conditions were adverse (Example: Speed when it was snowing). At present we include Time-of-Day as well as weather conditions of events as weights in the Driver Score.
