How to color-code your addresses and set up address icons override?

Color coding and setting address icons allow you to customize how you view your addresses on the map, as well as how you want your team members to interact with those addresses. For example, you may want to color-code your addresses for indicating particular sales stages, client statuses, location types, visitation priority, and more.

Color-code your addresses and set up address icons override

1. First, go to Address Book Map from the navigation menu.

2. You can color-code your addresses when picking them right from the map and add the addresses to your Address Book.

You can also color-code your addresses when editing them right on the map.

When you are creating a new or editing an existing address in your Address Book Map/List, you can color-code and assign a custom icon to this address in the Location tab.

Once you select a particular color and assign a custom icon to the address, this address will be displayed on the map accordingly.

Color code an entire search group of addresses and set up custom icon override for each address

1. First, create a new search group or use an existing one to display the addresses that you want to modify on the map.

2. After that, use one of the drawing tools in the top left corner of the map to draw an area around the addresses that you want to modify.

Set up icon override for all addresses in the area

1. First, right-click on this area and then select Assign Icon to Addresses from the menu.

Alternatively, click on the gear icon next to the corresponding search group and then select “Set Icon Override” from the menu.

2. Next, select the preferred custom icon from the list and then click OK to continue.

3. After that, check for how many addresses you are setting up new address icons and then click on the corresponding button to confirm the action.

Color code all addresses in the corresponding area

1. First, right-click on this area and then select Assign Color to Addresses from the menu.

2. Next, select the preferred color from the list and then click OK to proceed.

3. After that, check how many addresses you are color coding and then click on the corresponding button to confirm the action.

4. Next, you need to disable the search group(s) that you used for overriding icons and color-coding addresses. To do so, uncheck the box next to the corresponding search group and then the color-coded addresses with custom icons will be displayed on the map accordingly.

NOTE: Search group colors override address colors. Thus, make sure that you disable all search groups to view your addresses on the map with their color and not the color of their search group(s).

Bulk upload color-coded addresses into the system on the Address Book Map

1. First, go to File and then select Upload Addresses from the list.

2. After that, upload a spreadsheet with reserved attributes (i.e., Alias, Address, Cube, etc.) and the “Color” column into the system. In the “Color” column, you can define an individual color for each address you are importing.

3. Once you upload the spreadsheet with color-coded addresses into the system, these addresses will be displayed on the Address Book Map in the corresponding color(s).
