Define the types of user hierarchy and available permissions for the users in the Azuga Routes?

Azuga Routes user hierarchy includes the following key user types: Account Owner, Administrator, Regional Manager, Route Planner, Dispatcher, Analyst, and Driver. By default, each user type has its own set of default account-level permissions for interacting with the Platform and other users.

The role of each user type can be interpreted in your own way, depending on the particular needs of your business. Thus, you can assign different user types (except for the Account Owner) to different team members according to their role within your business environment or choose the one that is the closest in terms of duties and responsibilities.

Default Structure of the Azuga Routes Route Planner User Hierarchy

User Type Role Description
Account Owner The Account Owner is the primary user type that has all permissions on the primary Azuga Routes account. All user types report to the Account Owner and the Account Owner can create and manage all user types.
Administrator Administrators can report to the Account Owner or other Administrators. The Account Owner can have multiple Administrators. Administrators can create new Administrators and all other user types (except for the Account Owner).
Regional Manager Regional Managers can report to the Account Owner and/or to Administrators. Regional Managers can create Route Planners, Dispatchers, Analysts, and Drivers.
Route Planner Route Planners can report to the Account Owner, Administrators, and Regional Managers. Route Planners can create only Drivers.
Dispatcher Dispatchers can report to the Account Owner, Administrators, and Regional Managers. Dispatchers can create only Drivers.
Analyst Analysts can report to the Account Owner, Administrators, and Regional Managers and cannot have any sub-users.
Driver Drivers can report to the Account Owner, Administrators, Regional Managers, Dispatchers, and Route Planners and cannot have any sub-users.

The Administrator user type has the same set of permissions as the Account Owner, with several exceptions. Administrators do not have the permission to view or change the settings and billing information of the Azuga Routes account or modify the current subscription plan (can only view the current subscription plan).

Administrators can see and modify the settings and permissions of all users associated with the primary Azuga Routes account except for the Account Owner. One Admin can have multiple Admins.

The Regional Manager user type can create and manage Dispatchers, Route Planners, Analysts, and Drivers. A Regional Manager has the permission to view and edit all routes, Address Book contacts, orders, and other data associated with the users that are branched under this Regional Manager’s account. Regional Managers can report to the Account Owner and Administrators.

The Dispatcher user type can create and manage only Drivers. A Dispatcher has the permission to view and edit all routes, Address Book contacts, orders, and other data associated with the users branched under this Dispatcher’s account. The Route Planner user type can create and manage only Drivers.

A Route Planner has the permission to view and edit all routes, Address Book contacts, orders, and other data associated with the users branched under the Azuga Routes account.

The Analyst user type does not have the permission to create new sub-users. An Analyst can only view and edit routes, contacts, orders and other data associated with this Analyst’s account.

The Driver user type does not have the permission to create new sub-users. A Driver can only view and edit routes, contacts, orders and other data associated with this Driver’s account.
