Does SafetyCam event videos for accidents ?
SafetyCam constantly captures loop videos but only event videos are displayed on the web. In an event of any accidents. the videos can be accessed via a request video tab from the Azuga portal follow the below mentioned steps to request videos or you can contact Azuga customer care (customercare@azuga.com) or manually by removing the SD card you can access them.
- How to place a video request through your Azuga account?
Step 1: Click on the SAFETY CAM tab.
Step 2: Select Request Video(s).
Step 3: A pop-up window appears where you can select the vehicle for which you are trying to retrieve the video.
Step 4: Once you select the vehicle you will be directed to another window where you are asked to select the date and time of the video you are looking for, along with the time duration.
It's always recommended to keep the time duration under 5 minutes for a quick video upload and a 2 minute video will be the fastest to upload.
Note: Avoid requesting videos that have a duration of 10 as this may take too long to get uploaded into the UI.
Step 5: Click on “Confirm Request” and you can also rename the video according to your preference. Please refer to the highlighted part of the screenshot below to understand how you could rename the video.
Once these steps are completed, you will receive a message stating that the request was sent and will be uploaded on the requested video section.
Consider the following guidelines before submitting a video request.
Azuga SafetyCam
- To request a video the vehicle’s ignition should have been on at the time of the incident/event or for the required time period
- To verify the status of the camera you can check the connect and disconnect events on the Breadcrumb before and after the time period for the requested video
AI Cam - Surfsight
- To request a video the vehicle’s ignition should have been on at the time of the incident/event or for the required time period
- Vehicle was idling - If the vehicle was idling for over 10 minutes then the camera will enter the standby mode and the recording will pause. So if we request video for the idling period it will fail.
- Unstable power input - If there was no stable power source to the camera for continuous recording
