If there are other drivers also in my vehicle carrying the beacon, and if they press the button on the beacon, does it mean they get paired?

The pairing depends on the setting done for your account. By default, if any other driver in the vehicle presses the button on the beacon added to the account, the other driver will get paired to the vehicle and claim the trip from that moment and will unpair the connected driver.
