ELD Web - March Updates 2026

Improvements

➔    We have enhanced the user synchronization process by introducing secure password decryption for Fleet Kafka user events, ensuring better compatibility and data security between systems.

➔    We have enhanced our email communication by introducing internationalization (i18n) support for Password Reset and Email Verification templates, enabling emails to be sent in the user’s preferred language.

➔    We’ve introduced GPS location tracking for Pre Trip and Post Trip DVIRs in the ELD Portal, helping fleets ensure inspections are completed at the correct location, especially for post trip checks.

Improvements Deep Dive

Password Decryption Support for User Sync from Fleet Events

Previously, passwords received from Fleet events were directly assigned during user creation in the ELD application, which did not support encrypted password formats. This created limitations when handling securely transmitted credentials.

This enhancement improves security, enables seamless handling of encrypted credentials, and ensures reliable user creation through event-driven synchronization.

Multi-language Support for Password Reset & Email Verification Emails

Previously, these transactional emails were sent only in English, as all user-facing content was hardcoded. This limited the experience for users in different regions.

With this update, all user facing text in both email templates has been replaced with translation keys, leveraging the existing Spring MessageSourceconfiguration and language property files. Emails are now dynamically generated based on the user’s locale, supporting English, French, and Spanish, with English as the default fallback.

This improvement ensures a more personalized user experience, better accessibility for global users, and consistency across multilingual communications.

GPS Location Capture for Pre and Post Trip DVIR

For certain fleets, it is important that post-trip DVIRs are completed only after the vehicle returns to the base. Previously, there was no visibility into where DVIR inspections were performed, allowing drivers to complete post-trip inspections before reaching the base location. This made it difficult for fleet administrators to enforce compliance.

What’s New:

1.      GPS Location Capture in DVIR

When a driver completes a Pre-Trip or Post-Trip DVIR:

  • The system captures the GPS location of where the inspection is performed
  • This location data is included in the DVIR Summary Export (Excel file)
  • Fleet administrators can verify whether post-trip inspections are completed at the designated base location

2.     Improved Compliance and Visibility

  • Helps identify drivers completing inspections outside the required location
  • Enables better monitoring and enforcement of operational policies
  • Provides more transparency in DVIR reporting

This enhancement ensures better compliance, improved accountability, and more accurate tracking of inspection activities across fleets.
