February Updates
New Feature:
➔ For customers using Azuga’s Equipment Management beacons, the new Warehouse asset type streamlines equipment inventory management within a warehouse or storeroom by grouping multiple co-located wired-rechargeable asset trackers into a single logical warehouse. This provides equipment managers with a unified, accurate, and de-duplicated view of all detected
equipment.
➔ The Vehicles Admin page now includes Advanced Vehicle Filters, enabling smarter bulk operations and a more efficient fleet management experience.
Improvement:
➔ Requesting videos from Next Gen SafetyCam Plus and Pro is now more reliable. An automatic backend retry mechanism ensures that if a video request does not go through on the first attempt, it is retried instantly in the background, with no manual action required. This delivers a smoother and more consistent retrieval experience.
New Features
New Asset Type: Warehouses
In a warehouse or storeroom, two or more of Azuga’s wired-rechargeable asset trackers may be installed to cover different areas in the space or to track more than 100 equipment beacons.
The new Warehouse feature groups multiple wired-rechargeable asset trackers, providing one icon on the map, one entry in reports, and a combined, accurate, and de-duplicated inventory view of all detected equipment in the warehouse.
Instead of managing multiple trackers individually, warehouse managers can now view and manage all detected equipment as a single warehouse inventory, even when multiple wired-rechargeable asset tracker devices are installed across different areas of the facility.
Navigation:
- Go to Admin → Assets → Warehouses
- Warehouses appear as a sub-type under Assets in the Admin portal.
How Warehouses Work:
Warehouses are available as a first-class asset type in Azuga Fleet and represent a single physical warehouse location. It acts as a logical container for all equipment detected within that space, grouping multiple co-located asset trackers into one unified inventory view.
Features & Functionality:
- Multiple co-located wired-rechargeable asset trackers can be assigned to a single warehouse.
- Use the map to ensure you are selecting asset trackers co-located at your warehouse.
- Each tracker independently detects nearby BLE equipment beacons.
- Azuga Fleet collects beacon data from all assigned trackers.
- Beacon data is merged and summarized for warehouse inventory on the live map and in reports.
Inventory Accuracy and Stability:
- When the same equipment is detected by multiple trackers, the system automatically de-duplicates the data so the equipment appears only once, eliminating overlapping detections.
- To maintain inventory stability, the warehouse continues using each tracker’s last reported detection state until a new update is received.
- This prevents temporary disappearance or duplication of equipment when trackers report at different times.
As a result, warehouse managers get a clear, unified, and accurate view of all equipment in the warehouse without needing to manage multiple trackers individually.
What This Means for Users:
- A single, unified inventory view per warehouse
- No manual aggregation across multiple trackers
- No duplicate or incorrect equipment counts
- A clear and stable UI experience, even when equipment is detected by multiple gateways.
Advanced Vehicle Filters in Azuga Fleet
This update enables Fleet Administrators to quickly narrow down vehicle lists using more granular, dynamic, and data driven filtering criteria reducing manual effort and improving operational control.
Where to Find It
Log in to Azuga Web Fleet and navigate to:
- Admin → Vehicles → Vehicles
Open the Filter Panel to explore the new advanced filtering capabilities.
What’s New:
Fleet Admins can now filter vehicles using enhanced and dynamic criteria, including:
Vehicle Attributes:
- Make (A–Z sorting, dynamically populated based on fleet data)
- Year (dependent on selected Make)
- Fuel Type
- Vehicle Group
- Tags
- Data Source
Performance Based Filters:
- Odometer Range (Min / Max)
- Engine Hours Range (Min / Max)
These numeric filters support inclusive comparison logic Value ≥ Minimum AND ≤ Maximum, ensuring accurate range-based results.
Enhanced Filter Panel Experience:
The updated filter panel now provides:
- Clear filter sections
- Inclusive range validation
- Apply button to confirm selections
- Reset option to clear all filters
- Cancel option to exit without applying changes
This structured workflow improves usability and reduces filtering errors.

Key Benefits
- Granular Vehicle Segmentation: Quickly identify specific subsets of vehicles using multiple filter combinations.
- Reduced Manual Browsing: Eliminate the need to scroll through long vehicle lists.
- Dynamic & Data-Driven Filtering: Filter values automatically adjust based on your fleet data for more relevant results.
- Cleaner Navigation & Better Control: A simplified and intuitive filter panel enhances overall user experience.
Next-Gen SafetyCam Request Video: Enhanced Retrieval Reliability
We have enhanced the Request Video functionality for Next Gen SafetyCam Plus and Pro by implementing an automatic backend retry mechanism.
In certain instances, the requested video timeline did not accurately align with the recorded footage available on the device, which could cause the video request to fail on the first attempt.
To improve retrieval accuracy and ensure a more consistent experience, the system now automatically retries such requests in the background if the initial attempt does not succeed. The retry happens instantly and does not require any manual action.
This enhancement increases the overall success rate of video requests while keeping the existing workflow and user interface unchanged.
What’s Improved?
- Automatic backend retry if the initial video request does not succeed
- Improved overall video request success rate
- No changes to the customer workflow or user interface
- No manual reattempt required
Important Conditions for Successful Video Retrieval:
The following prerequisites continue to apply:
- The camera must be in an Online or Standby state
- The requested footage must be available on the camera for the selected timeframe
When these conditions are met, the new backend auto-retry mechanism ensures improved reliability and better retrieval success rates.
