ELD Web - February Updates 2026
Improvements
- We’ve introduced standardized, user-friendly display names for system user roles across the application to improve clarity and ensure a consistent experience.
- The Certified Logs Report has been enhanced to support extended date ranges, helping fleets meet DOT audit requirements more efficiently.
- We’ve introduced new safeguards in the Portal to prevent edits to ELD Users that are actively synced with Azuga Fleet, ensuring data consistency for fleets using both Azuga Fleet and Azuga ELD.
Improvements Deep Dive
User Role Display Name Standardization
This enhancement replaces technical internal role constants (e.g., USER_ROLE_ACCOUNTADMIN) with clean, readable display names (e.g., Account Admin) in the UI, without changing any permissions or access logic.
Feature Overview
User roles were previously displayed using internal system constants, which reduced readability and caused confusion for administrators.
With this update:
- Internal role constants are now mapped to clear, human-readable names.
- Role permissions and backend logic remain unchanged.
- The update affects only how roles are displayed in the UI.
This improves usability in user management screens, reports, and administrative workflows.
What’s New
1. Standardized Display Names
All internal role constants are now mapped to consistent, readable names across:
- User List View
- Add/Edit User screens
- Role selection dropdowns
- Filters
- Reports (UI level)
2. Role Mapping Updates
The following mappings have been implemented:
|

Key Benefits
- Improved readability and clarity in the UI
- Reduced confusion during user management
- Cleaner and more professional presentation
- Standardized terminology across the platform
- Better onboarding experience for new administrators

Certified Logs Report 31 Days Range Support
Previously, the report was limited to a maximum of 14 days. If users selected more than two weeks using the Custom Range option, the system displayed an error and prevented report generation. This improvement makes it easier to back up logs a month at a time or export the 30 days of logs that would be required for a DOT audit.
To maintain system performance and prevent large bulk export failures, the extended 31-day range is available when generating logs for a single driver at a time.
This enhancement ensures better audit readiness, improved compliance support, and a smoother reporting experience for fleet administrators.

Edit Restrictions for Fleet-Synced ELD Users
For customers using both Azuga Fleet and Azuga ELD, all user profile management must occur within Azuga Fleet. Previously, users could attempt to edit synced ELD User records directly in the ELD Portal, which could create confusion and data inconsistencies.
What’s New
1. Edit Restrictions for Users in ELD that are being synced with Azuga Fleet
When an ELD User record is synced with Fleet:
- A message is displayed at the top of the Edit User page:
Note: This User is being managed in Azuga Fleet and cannot be edited here. Click here to edit the User in Azuga Fleet.
- The “Click here” link redirects users to Azuga Fleet (or directly to the corresponding User record when supported).
- The User details page remains accessible in view-only mode for reference.
- The Save button is hidden, preventing any updates.
- If a user attempts to bypass the restriction, saving changes is blocked.
This ensures Fleet remains the single source of truth for synced users.

2. User Creation in Azuga Fleet and Azuga ELD
User creation within ELD is still permitted, even when the account is Fleet-synced, to avoid operational disruption.
On the User Creation screen, a contextual message is displayed:
NOTE: If you create Users in Azuga Fleet, they will sync with Azuga ELD, allowing drivers to use the same login in both mobile apps. Click here to create the User in Azuga Fleet.
- The “Click here” link directs users to Azuga Fleet.
- Users may still proceed with creating the User in ELD if needed.
