How is the Azuga Driver Score calculated?
The Azuga Driver Score is calculated in three steps:
- Identify driving events such as braking, speeding, acceleration, and idling. Customers may also enable cornering and seatbelt compliance.
- Score each event type, where fewer risky events result in higher scores.
- Combine the event scores into a final Driver Score, adjusted by:
- Mileage Weightage (MW): Rewards safe long-distance driving (1 = minimal impact, 5 = balanced, 10 = strong impact).
- Per-Day Weightage (PDW): Rewards consistency across days (if PDW = 0, only mileage and events are considered).
- Event Type Weightage: Determines how much each event type (braking, speeding, acceleration, idling, cornering, and seatbelt) impacts the final score.
Special case: Drivers with no violations can achieve a perfect score of 100, adjusted only by Mileage weightage and Per-day Weightage.
