ELD Web - March Updates 2025

New Features:

  • We've introduced two new pages to enhance access to critical driver documents! The “Resources” page allows drivers to easily download essential documents like driver instruction manuals, data transfer instructions, and malfunction instruction sheets, all in one place. Additionally, the “Upload Resources” page enables admins to upload these important files, ensuring drivers always have the necessary resources available for download and printing when needed.
  • We’ve introduced a new App Release Notification system to keep you informed about mobile app updates. Whenever a new version is released on the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, you will receive an email containing the version number and release date, ensuring you stay updated.

Improvements:

  • We’re excited to improve your account security with a new password change feature in the Welcome Email! In place of displaying the password, users will now see a “Reset Password” button. By clicking this button, users will be able to securely reset and confirm their new password, ensuring a smooth and secure login experience right from the start.
  • We’ve introduced new, unified email templates for Password Reset, Forgot Password, and User Verification emails to provide a consistent experience across HOS and our other products. The templates now have a standardized look and feel, with logos and contact details automatically adjusting based on the customer type.
  • We've implemented a customer-requested change to improve the Logbook Regulation Mode experience! In Logbook Regulation mode, the connected/disconnected icon is now hidden from the driver’s home page. This change ensures a cleaner, more relevant interface for drivers operating under Logbook regulations.
  • We’ve updated the Guides for the following pages: Resources, Upload Resources, Child Account’s Support, and Support Contact Info. These updates provide clearer guidance and improve accessibility.

New Feature:

New Resources and Upload Resources Pages for Drivers and Admins

We’ve introduced two new pages to streamline the process of managing and accessing important documents: Resources and Upload Resources. These pages serve different purposes for drivers and administrators, ensuring both easy access to critical documents and efficient resource management.

Resources Page (for Drivers):

The Resources Page provides drivers with quick access to essential documents such as driver instruction manuals, data transfer instructions, and malfunction instruction sheets. These documents are available for download or printing, ensuring drivers have the necessary copies in their vehicles when required for compliance.

Resources Page Details:

  • Resource Name – The name of the document or link.
  • Description – A brief summary of the resource.
  • Actions:
    • To view the resource link, click on the web icon.
    • To download the resource media file, click on the download icon.

Upload Resources Page (for Admins):

The Upload Resources Page allows administrators to upload files and links, making important resources available for drivers to download. Admins can upload documents such as the driver instruction manuals, data transfer instructions, malfunction instruction sheets, and more. This page helps ensure that all necessary resources are up-to-date and accessible.

Key Features:

  • Admins can upload up to 5 documents at a time.
  • Supported file formats include PDF, CSV, PNG, JPEG, XLSX, JPG, DOC, and DOCX.
  • Each file must be less than 3MB.
  • Admins can also add links to external resources.
  • Uploaded files are made available for download and printing on the Resources Page for drivers.

This update ensures that drivers can easily access important documents, while admins have a seamless process for managing and uploading resources.

Mobile App Release Notification

We’ve introduced a new App Release Notification feature to keep you informed about every update to our mobile app. Whenever a new version is released on the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, you will receive an email notification with the version number and release date. This ensures you are always aware of the latest version and can update the app accordingly.

Improvements:

Enhanced Account Security in Welcome Email

We’ve enhanced the security of your account by eliminating the display of passwords in the Welcome Email. In the past, the welcome email included the login credentials, including the password in plain text. Now, users will see a “Change Password” button below the login ID instead.

Upon clicking this button, users will be redirected to a secure page where they can reset and confirm their new password. This ensures a smoother, safer login process and prevents unauthorized access by reducing the risk of exposing sensitive information in emails.

This new feature aims to provide users with a more secure and convenient login experience right from the start, aligning with best practices for account security.

Unified Email Templates for Password Reset, Forgot Password, and User Verification

We’ve unified the email templates for Password Reset, Forgot Password, and User Verification across HOS and our other products. This ensures a consistent experience for users, making the applications appear as a single, cohesive platform. The new templates now follow a standardized design, featuring a unified look and feel, with logos and contact details dynamically adjusting based on the customer type.

Key Features: • The logo and contact details in the email will automatically adapt based on the customer type. • The password reset link will remain valid for 90 days. • After resetting the password, the link will expire. If the user needs to reset the password again, they will receive a new reset link via email.

This enhancement is part of our ongoing efforts to improve consistency across platforms and provide a unified, secure experience for all users.

Enhanced Logbook Regulation Mode Experience

We’ve made a customer-requested improvement to the Logbook Regulation Mode experience! In response to user feedback, we’ve hidden the connected/disconnected icon from the driver’s home page when operating under Logbook Regulation Mode. This change streamlines the interface, ensuring that drivers are presented with only the most relevant information.

Updated Guides

We’ve updated the guides for several key pages within the portal to enhance user experience and accessibility. These changes provide clearer instructions and guidance, making it easier for users to navigate new features. The updated guides will now be available on the portal’s help page.

Pages Updated:

  • Resources – Guidance available for both Admin and Driver accounts.
  • Upload Resources – Guide available for Azuga Admin only.
  • Child Account’s Support – Guide available for Parent accounts.
  • Support Contact Info – Contact details are available for Child accounts.

How to Navigate: To access the guides, simply click the “?” symbol on the top right of the respective page.

These updates aim to improve accessibility and provide clearer guidance for users managing their accounts and resources.
