New Features

The “Assets” module has been introduced to AFM and is accessible within the Dashboard >> Admin module. This empowers admins to efficiently manage asset-related tasks such as viewing, creating, editing, and deleting assets directly from AFM, aligning with the functionality available on the web.

Previously exclusive to our web application, we have recently introduced the “Assets” module to AFM. It can be found within the Dashboard/App home screen >> Admin >> Assets tile.

With this, users can create/add a new asset using the same process as they would on the web. Additionally, they can view, edit any asset information, and delete assets directly on AFM, streamlining the process for increased efficiency.

Editing or deleting assets in AFM can be done in three ways:

  1. Using the three-dots menu located on the asset tiles.
  2. Swiping left or right on individual asset tiles to initiate the process.
  3. Accessing the drill-down view, where “Edit Asset” and “Delete Asset” options are prominently positioned at the top of the screen.

Adding a new asset in AFM can be done by clicking on “+Add New Asset” from the asset list.

Here are the key considerations for managing asset information on AFM:

  • Asset information is categorized into "Asset Info", "Associations", and "Usage”.
  • In each category, fields marked with a red star are mandatory when editing or creating a new asset. These fields must be completed to successfully save the asset's information. If not, AFM will display an error message, prompting you to correct the details to proceed.
  • Along with the mandatory fields, ensure all other fields are filled in with the required details to add or edit an asset.

Access Control:

  • The ability to view, edit, add, and delete an asset on AFM is governed by the Asset’s “View”, “Edit”, “Create”, and “Deactivate” privileges in Fleet 2.0. These are the same privileges that control access on the web app.
  • To enable these privileges in Fleet 2.0, navigate to Admin >> Roles >> Add/Edit Role >> Admin tab >> Asset. Check the boxes for View, Edit, Create, and Deactivate to grant the respective permissions.

Note: This new feature has been implemented on both Android and iOS.

AFM (Azuga Fleet Mobile) now supports Biometric Login with Face ID and Fingerprint authentication, enhancing both security and convenience. Activate this feature by selecting “Remember me” during login for seamless, password-free access.

We are excited to announce the introduction of biometric login for AFM. This enhancement strengthens the login security with Face ID and Fingerprint authentication, reducing reliance on passwords and making the login process faster and more secure.

To enable this feature, simply check the box for “Remember me” during login. You will then be prompted to set up biometric authentication. Once set up, you can log in using Face ID or Fingerprint without entering your password. This simplifies the login process, making it quicker and easier to access the app.

Users have the flexibility to enable or disable biometric authentication based on their preference. If a user cancels or switches accounts, a confirmation message will appear, and confirming will clear the stored biometric data. If credentials change, biometric login will need to be re-enabled.

This enhancement is designed to provide a secure and user-friendly login experience by leveraging the convenience and security of biometric authentication methods.

Note: This new feature has been implemented on both Android and iOS.

The newly added "Remember me" button on the AFM login screen enables users to save their passwords, making future logins faster by auto-filling credentials for the current tab. The login token will remain valid for 180 days and will auto-refresh if the app is opened within 48 hours before expiration, ensuring a seamless experience.

A new "Remember me" button has been added to the AFM login screen, allowing users to save their password for easier access. When selected, the app securely stores the password and will automatically pre-fill it for future logins, making the process faster and more convenient.

It's important to note that if the password is saved while logged into one tab (e.g., Admin tab) and the user then switches to another tab (e.g., Driver tab), the password will not be automatically populated for the new tab. This ensures that login credentials remain specific to the selected tab, maintaining security and individual preference.

The login token that ensures user authentication will expire after 180 days. To provide an uninterrupted experience, the app will automatically refresh the token if opened within the last 48 hours before expiration, ensuring users stay logged in without having to re-enter their credentials manually.

Note: This enhancement has been implemented on both Android and iOS.
