Downloading QR Code from Fleet 2.0

Introduction:

The new feature in Fleet 2.0 allows users to download QR codes directly from the web platform, resulting in a faster and more efficient pairing process. This greatly assists users who previously had no means to download a vehicle's QR code from the Azuga portal for pairing purposes.

Prerequisites:

  1. VIN has to be updated in the Azuga application.
  2. The driver's phone number has to be updated in the Azuga application.

Navigation:

A new "QR Code" column has been introduced in the Admin >> Vehicles module. Positioned at the end of the Vehicles page, this column enables users to download QR codes associated with specific vehicles.

Access Control:

  • The newly added "QR Code" column will only be visible on the Vehicles page if the vehicle pairing type is selected as QR Code.
  • Check the vehicle pairing type from here: Navigate to Admin >> Config >> Mobile >> Vehicle pairing >> QR code.

Download Options on Vehicles Page:

Users have the option to:

  1. Download the QR code for individual vehicles by clicking the downward arrow under the “QR Code” column.
  2. Download QR codes for all vehicles at once.
    1. For this, simply click the “QR code” column header. This will download the QR codes for all vehicles listed on the Vehicles page.
  3. Download QR codes for the filtered vehicles based on vehicle, driver, or group etc.
    1. For this, first select the desired search parameters on the Vehicles page.
    2. Next, search by entering a keyword. This will filter the view based on the search criteria.
    3. Finally, click the "QR Code" column header to download the QR codes for the filtered group of vehicles.

Besides downloading the QR code, there are other important aspects to note regarding QR code downloads on the Vehicles page:

  1. The QR code download button will be visible only if the VIN is available and can be downloaded by clicking on the download button. In the absence of a VIN, the QR code download button will not be visible and a "-" (dash) will appear in the column.

  1. Whenever a QR code is downloaded, its file name will always be the vehicle's VIN.
  2. The file will be in PDF format.

Pairing Using QR Code:

Follow these steps:

  1. Find the QR code sticker in the vehicle.
  2. Open the camera app on your smartphone.
  3. Scan the QR Code and tap the pop-up as shown below.

  1. Text messaging app opens with pre-formed text. Press Send.

Note: The pre-formed message should be sent only from the phone number that is already updated in the Azuga app.

Once the message is sent, Azuga identifies the driver's name through the registered phone number and completes the pairing by sending a “Pairing confirmation” SMS to your phone.
