QR Code Download & Driver Pairing – Fleet 2.0

Introduction:

The QR code functionality in Fleet 2.0 is now supported within the new Vehicles screen and vehicle drawer, with improvements that make it easier to generate and download vehicle QR codes directly from the web platform. Users can generate QR codes for selected vehicles or the entire fleet and share them via email. These improvements streamline the driver-vehicle pairing process and provide a more efficient and seamless setup experience for fleet users.

Prerequisites:

Before generating a QR code, ensure the following:

• Vehicle VIN must be added in the system
• Driver phone number must be registered in the platform
• Vehicle pairing type must be enabled as QR Code

Important: QR codes will only be generated for vehicles that have a valid VIN number.

UI Navigation:

Follow the steps below to access QR code generation:

1. Navigate to Admin
2. Click Vehicles
3. Select one or multiple vehicles
4. Click Download QR Codes

This option appears when one or more vehicles are selected.

Method 1: Download QR for Selected Vehicles

Users can download QR codes for specific vehicles.

Steps:

1. Go to Admin → Vehicles
2. Select the required vehicles using the checkbox
3. Click Download QR Codes
4. Choose Selected Vehicles
5. Click Email QR Codes

The QR codes for the selected vehicles will be generated and sent via email.

Method 2: Download QR for Entire Fleet

Users can generate QR codes for all vehicles in the fleet.

Steps:

1. Go to Admin → Vehicles
2. Click Download QR Codes
3. Select All Vehicles in Fleet
4. Click Email QR Codes

QR codes for all fleet vehicles will be generated and sent via email.

Method 3: Generate QR from Vehicle details drawer

Users can also generate QR codes from an individual vehicle.

Steps:

1. Open a specific vehicle details drawer
2. Click Driver Pairing
3. Generate or view the QR code
4. Use it for driver pairing

This method is useful for single vehicle pairing operations.

Email & File Details

When downloading QR codes:

• Users can add Email Subject
• Add CC recipients if needed
• Enable Email me the results

QR codes will be delivered in PDF format via email.

QR Code File Details:

• File format: PDF
• File name: Vehicle VIN
• Generated only when VIN is available
• Multiple QR codes can be generated at once

Driver Pairing Using QR Code

Follow these steps:

1. Locate the QR code in the vehicle.
2. Open the camera app on the smartphone.
3. Scan the QR code and tap the pop-up link.
4. The text messaging app opens with a pre-formed message.
5. Tap Send.
6. Once the message is sent, the system identifies the driver using the registered phone number and sends a pairing confirmation message.

Note: The pre-formed message must be sent from the phone number registered in the system.
