How does the recording process work for the aux cameras?

  1. When the vehicle engine is turned on, aux cameras record video. There is no standby mode after the vehicle engine is powered off.
  2. The video is saved on the aux camera SD cards in two-minute files, with each file approximately 20 MB in size.
  3. The safetycam checks for aux camera recordings approximately once a minute, one aux camera at a time.
  4. Any available video files are pulled. Each transfer takes about thirty seconds.
  5. The safetycam SD card contains all recordings, from the safetycam and connected aux cameras.

Note that when aux cameras are connected to a safetycam, the available memory in the safetycam SD card is split between the safetycam and all connected aux cameras.
